Poster Revision

I used the shadow cast in the photo of my laser cut luminaire as the background image. I stretched it in photoshop, and multiplied a layer of maroon over the top. Right now it seems a little bold so I might need to tone down the color a little bit. I also downloaded a font for the title that seemed appropriate. It still seems a little quiet. I would love any feedback anyone can give me!

Draft Sweep

The draft sweep tool works similarly to the sweep tool except it alters the shape as it follows the path, widening as well as muddling the shape on one end, with the other end as the original sweep shape and tapering to be smaller. I have difficulties using this tool, for some pathes it will not work. It works best with a long curved path. The blue and yellow objects in this scene were created with this tool.

T-Subz tool

Using the T-subz tool triangulates the surfaces of any object. Here, the three objects in the foreground are transforming to more and more triangulated. After you triangulate an object, it creates a mesh of points that create the object in wireframe view. Segments and points can be moved to manipulate the shape. The shapes can be triangulated twice using the tsubz tool and you can specify the percent of curvature you want. These objects all started as the left most rectilinear shape and were transformed with different percentages.

Lighting the Stage Progress

In beginning of this exercise I started playing with different forms, like curves and reflective materials. The concept was that of floating, glowing light sources reflecting off of the surfaces. The reflection behind the objects invokes a completely different scene. I used several different colors of lights from different locations, usually around the floating globes. The lights are mostly cone lights and distant lights.
